Meet your photographer
I’m Lachlan Scallion, local to Dromana. Lived on the Mornington Peninsula for the last 30 years. I love all things hospitality. The people, passion, story, flavour, colour.
My hospo roots go back to my first job was washing dishes at The Coffee Club in Frankston back in 2008. In 2014 I worked for Butterbing Cookies as their photographer and saw first hand the power of visual communication, helping them scale the business and brand in Melbourne CBD.
Since then I cofounded The Ninch, with my friend Marcel in 2016, pairing his design background with my photography.
As I reflect on the AI era, and look towards 2026 I want to help local business connect better with their community and audience. Giving you the opportunity to be strategic with how you show up online.
As small business it’s difficult to find the headspace for creative direction. Your time is pulled in many directions, juggling orders, staffing, and day to operations.
